I just wanted to share a quick photo of Bug's bento style lunch from yesterday to show you all that bento doesn't always have to be fancy, although I do have loads of fun creating cute lunches sometimes it just needs to be quick and easy, this bento took me less than 5 minutes and hardly any extra time than if I made her this lunch without the bento box and little container and the best part is it was eaten all up and I know she ate a healthy lunch, gotta be happy with that :)

What are some of your memories of your school lunches from when you were a kid (good or bad)?
I remember warm soggy tomato sandwiches YUK!
We'll be off to Melbourne at the end of the week (road trip with the kids eep), whilst I'll still be around Facebook a little and will be answering emails here and there no orders will be sent out until I return on the 28th, Friday is my last postal run before we leave so if you're wanting to get your hands on some N2E goodies soon please make sure you get your orders in before 2pm Friday xx
Hi my name is Ebony,
I am a mother to 2 beautiful children, a baby girl and a 7 year old boy. My 7 year old son has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and part of his condition entails sensory issues, a heightened sensitivity to some environmental factors such as noise, tastes, smells etc. These sensitivities had made meal times extremely challenging and I have always struggled to get him to willingly eat certain foods-mostly the healthy ones!
Recently however I came across a product called Lunch Punch a sandwich cutter that not only removes the crust off sandwiches but also leaves the sandwiches cut into cute shapes such as cars, trains, dolphins, elephants etc and for the first time in a year I managed to get my son to eat not only sandwiches for lunch but also toast for breakfast.
I started to search the internet for other products that could help me make healthy food more attractive to my son in the hopes he would be more willing to eat it, which is where I can across Bento a Japanese style of packed lunches typically using left overs and fell in love with the whole concept. Through the use of products such as food picks, divider cups, veggie/food cutters, boiled egg moulds etc I have been able to create super cute looking meals that my son has found hard to resist.
Not only are Bento style lunches/meals cute and fun for kids they are also environmentally friendly by reducing the amount of packaging used in comparison to traditional lunches in addition to this Bento lunches/meals are also perfectly portion sized thus helping to combat the increasing rate of childhood obesity.
I hope that you and your family will have as much fun and discover just how fun food can be as my family and I have.
