Tomorrow is May 4th which also means its Intergalactic Star Wars Day! I may be showing my geek here or I’ve just possibly spent too much time with a Star Wars obsessed son either way I’ve become quite fond of Star Wars and I can’t wait to whip up another Star Wars themed bento lunch for Mr 7 tomorrow but first I thought I’d whip up a food ideas blog for those who might like to make a special lunch tomorrow (or any day really) so here are some Star Wars themed lunchbox ideas (they’d also be great for a Star Wars party too!);

This is a bento I made a little while ago for Mr 7, I cut the words Star Wars from a crustless sandwich and then wrapped some folded baking paper around it with some Star Wars stickers on it, a simple yet effective way to make something themed without needing too many bits and bobs

Here are some sandwich ideas; the Millennium Falcon sandwich is made using a cutter I bought a little while ago and I’ve just drawn on the details (I’ve used creative license hehe) using a food colouring marker (FooDoodler) and same again with the lightsabers on the second sandwich.

And some non sandwich ideas for those little non sandwich eating Jedis; the Princess Leia sausage rolls are made by cutting a cooked sausage into 2cm slices and then cutting 2cm strips of puff pastry and wrapping halved strips over the sausage and rolling the sides up like Princess Leia’s hair buns, you will then need to pop them in the oven until they are golden brown. Once you remove them from the oven you will need to place a tooth pick in them to hold the hair on, I’ve used some ABC reusable food picks and spelled out Star Wars with them just food added cuteness (oops I ment coolness).

Happy Intergalactic Star Wars Day for tomorrow everyone and May the fourth be with you ;)
